Pepsi buys Serbian potato chips maker Marbo Product
PepsiCo Inc. has increased to 100% its stake in Serbian potato chips producer Marbo Product for an undisclosed sum, Serbian news agency Tanjug reported on Wednesday.
According to the company’s website, Marbo Produkt employs more than 1,000 people in Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Banja Luka daily Nezavisne writes that Pepsi has also bought Marbo’s factory in the Republic of Srpska (RS).
Last month, the Bosnia-Herzegovina Competition Council considered Pepsi’s application for acquisition of the Laktaš factory.
