From a modest beginning in Quebec, Poutine has become Canada's most identifiable dish. Tourists and heads-of-states alike, no one's Canada visit is ever complete until they've tried a dish of Poutine at a famous restaurant. However, a study shows Montreal and Quebec have some of the most popular poutine restaurants.

They account for 8 out of the top 10 Poutine restaurants. The two other restaurants in the top 10 list are Toronto and Vancouver. The study is based on customer reviews on TripAdvisor. If you want to know which restaurants serve the most delectable Poutine in Canada, the new study brought by BonusFinder Canada has the answer.

Based on customer reviews, Schwart's in Montreal has 7533 reviews and is considered the most popular restaurant serving Poutine, followed by Modavie (4823 reviews) and Aux Anciens Canadiens (3637 reviews).

Opened in 1928 and still in the original location on Saint Laurent Blvd, Schwartz's serves their very own variation of the national dish, Poutine à la Schwartz's. Price USD 14.50. Among the top 10 poutine restaurants, five are in Montreal. Schwart's (1), Modavie (2), La Banquise (5), Vieux-Port Steakhouse (9), and Brasserie (10).

Among these five restaurants, the price of a poutine dish varies from CAD 9.95 (USD 7.50) (La Banquise) to CAD 24 (USD 18) (Vieux-Port Steakhouse). Opened in the late nineties, it quickly became popular, and it is now considered a Montréal institution. Their spin on the national dish is with the classic French Bordelaise sauce and the was price USD 15.

Quebec, which is believed to be Poutine's place of origin, has three restaurants figure among the top 10. Aux Anciens Canadiens, Le Lapin Sauté (3355 reviews), and La Buche (2023 reviews) are in 3rd, 4th, and 8th position, respectively.

Located in one of the oldest houses in Québec City, La Maison Jacquet, the restaurant offers two variations of the Poutine starting with the traditional one or going to a more elaborate version with duck and prices were USD 18.95 and USD 39.95.

Toronto's Amsterdam BrewHouse - On the Lake (2790 reviews) and Vancouver's Coast Restaurant (2264) are in the 6th and 7th positions, respectively. However, 5 of these restaurants have 4.5, while the other five have 4 ratings out of 5. Those with 4.5 ratings are Modavie, Le Lapin Sauté, Coast Restaurant, La Buche, and Brasserie 701.

Of these, two are in Montreal, two are in Quebec, and one is in Vancouver. A classic dish of Poutine has French Fries, Brown Gravy and Cheese Curd. Restaurants offer countless variations of this trendy Canadian meal. The study has been curated by Journalistic, the PR wing of Reboot Online Marketing Ltd.
