  • P&G more likely to spin off Duracell than sell; Braun, Folgers, Snacks, unlikely disposals in near term
Among P&G’s most likely candidates for disposal;Duracell, Braun, Folgers coffee and Pringles potato chips, Duracell is the most likely to go in the near future, according to three industry bankers. P&G is unlikely to dispose of Folgers coffee or Pringles potato chips anytime soon, though in the long-run these two are candidates for divestiture or a spinoff, four bankers said. P&G has not articulated a strategy for the coffee and potato chips business, though it is likely they have reviewed all the options, one of the bankers said. Pringles does well globally, and P&G might be tempted to keep it, said one banker. Three others said that in the long-run Pringles is unlikely to fit into its portfolio.
