News on Potato Harvesters from the Netherlands

PotatoEurope is an international event exclusively dedicated to the entire value chain of potatoes: from Farm to Fork! The event takes place each year in one of the event’s four partner countries: the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France.

The organisation of the PotatoEurope, which will take place on September 3 and 4, 2025 at the Dutch location of Wageningen University & Research (WUR), Field Crops in Lelystad, can already speak of a flying start.

APH Group appointed Albertus Kloosterman as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), and Bart van Doorn as Chief Financial Officer. To keep up with its growth the company is taking large steps and is looking forward to further shape the future of APH Group together with Albertus and Bart.

APH Group, a distributor of farm equipment, has acquired Agri 2.0 CIS B.V. including its activities in Russia and Ukraine as of January 1, 2022.

Due to the current developments in regard to the coronavirus pandemic in the Netherlands and the associated lack of official approval from Dutch authorities to hold the event, PotatoEurope 2021 has been cancelled.

On the third Thursday of April, the first potatoes for the PotatoEurope harvesting demonstrations were planted under ideal weather conditions. By pressing the start button, acting mayor of Noordoostpolder Jan Westmaas sent autonomous implement carrier Robotti on its way to plant the first potato.

The PotatoEurope organization has started preparing the potato trial fields at the event location near the central Dutch city of Lelystad.

With the event theme 'What's Now, What's New and What's the Future', PotatoEurope 2021 promises to provide insight into current developments in the potato industry as well as a look at the future of the sector.

Only last week the organisers of PotatoEurope 2021 have opened the pre-registration for former participants of
PotatoEurope and already now a great number of participants have signed up for the upcoming edition.

Wageningen University & Research and DLG Benelux have signed a contract for hosting PotatoEurope 2021 at the location of Wageningen Plant Research in Lelystad, The Netherlands.

Despite the cancellation of the first day of Potato Europe (Wednesday) and the less then perfect weather on Thursday, the 270 exhibitors were able to welcome around 10,000 visitors, just on the Thursday

Dewulf now unveils Torro, its long-awaited trailed 2-row sieving potato harvester with haulm conveyor, flat hedgehog units and bunker.

In consultation with the municipality of Noordoostpolder all activities of PotatoEurope 2017 are cancelled for Wednesday 13 September, due to the expected weather conditions.

Dewulf-Miedema presents an impressive number of machines at Potato Europe. Much of the equipment can be seen in action during numerous demonstrations of harvesting and storage technology. But the the main eye-catcher will be the unveiling of Torro!

In three weeks PotatoEurope 2017 opens its doors. Over 265 exhibitors (+8 %) from 16 countries will share their potato expertise with you in their booths and allow visitors a look in the potato chain of the future.

Dewulf has expanded its product range with a new 2-row trailed offset harvester with bunker
that has been named Torro.

Anyone travelling to PotatoEurope in Emmeloord by car on 13 and 14 September 2017 will have much more convenient access to the event than in previous years.

The intended fusion between Dewulf and Miedema, made public in early September, is to be completed this year.
