Potato Europe 2022

PotatoEurope is a European Trade Fair dedicated to the whole potato chain that is taking place on an annual rotating basis in Belgium, France, Netherlands, and Germany.

The theme of this year’s edition – ‘Potatoes feed & meet the world’ – is linked to the potato’s huge potential to feed the world’s growing population.

In addition, PotatoEurope in 2017 is the leading platform for the exchange of information related to precision farming for potatoes.

This year, PotatoEurope is highlighting the opportunities and practical applications of precision farming for potato growers with a large-scale practical demonstration.

This is aimed at showing chain professionals how they can benefit from the use of drones and digital information.
 

An entire crop season will be examined in conjunction with the main sponsor, Case IH. To safeguard the objectivity, students from CAH Vilentum University of Applied Sciences in Dronten will translate the information into practical recommendations.

For the first time ever, this unique collaboration will bridge the knowledge gap between theory and practice in the area of precision farming in the potato sector.

Visitors can 'feed' their knowledge even more by attending high-quality seminars that will be held during the show. Current and future potato professionals alike are assured of interesting and informative sessions in which chain partners themselves can become involved in the discussions.

Some of these sessions are designed for all visitors, while others are aimed at specific target groups within the potato chain such as students.
