Shane Webster of Rexburg, ID, was elected to the United States Potato Board (USPB) Executive Committee at the organization’s 36th Annual Meeting held in Denver, CO, March 12-14. Webster is serving his third year on the USPB and first year as co-chairman of the Domestic Marketing Committee.
“Chairing the Board’s Domestic Marketing Committee will be a challenge, but with my previous experience on both the International and Domestic Marketing committees, I believe it’s a challenge I am ready for,” Webster said. “I’m interested in successfully implementing the new “Potatoes…Goodness Unearthed™” campaign. The successful execution of this third generation of the USPB’s nutrition program will connect fresh potatoes with today’s active consumers in a profound and meaningful way.”
Webster is a fifth generation potato grower who farms with his brother, Rob. In addition to potatoes, they grow seed barley, barley and wheat.
