Walkers to launch Stephen Fry crisps for UK charity Comic Relief

Walkers crisps featuring Steven Fry

January 14, 2011
Jimmy Carr and Stephen Fry have lent their names to a range of Walkers crisps being launched for Comic Relief.

Al Murray and Frank Skinner are also featured.

Comic Relief is a charity which was founded in the United Kingdom in 1985 by the comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis and Alexander Mendis in response to famine in Ethiopia. The highlight of Comic Relief's appeal is Red Nose Day, a biennial telethon held in March. Comic Relief is one of the two high profile telethon events held in Britain.

The Walkers crisp range includes four flavours with names inspired by the comedians. The flavours are: Stephen Fry Up, Steak And Al Pie, Frank Roast Dinner and Walkers Jimmy Con-Carne.

The public is invited to vote for their favourite flavour and Walkers is donating 5p from each pack to Comic Relief.

The Walkers website also features 'The clash of the comics'
