McCain to Ag Connections Integration

Mayo 22, 2012

McCain Foods USA, Inc. and Ag Connections Inc. of Murray, KY announce the integration of McCain Agriculture Systems, through their internet portal from the Ag Connections Land.db crop record keeping system.

This integration allows for the electronic transfer of crop protection, fertilizer, and irrigation records from the Land.db system into McCain’s Ag Portal. Eliminating duplicate data entry improves efficiency and avoids potential data entry errors, while at the same time, ensuring that the proper data is being communicated to McCain Foods.

“McCain Foods is working with Ag Connections in an attempt to improve the process of sharing production records that are already in place and meet the needs of our internal systems” says Eric Ritchie, Agriculture Manager NA CSR, McCain Foods. “The integration of data records is a win-win for our growers and us, with improved data traceability and reporting”.

“This integration moves us towards the goal of reducing the need for duplicate data entry while meeting the reporting requirements of processors” says Jeff Peake, Ag Connections Key Account Manager. “This removes the need to fill out paper forms, learn data entry on two separate systems, and saves substantial time that was previously spent keeping multiple systems in sync. Safeguards have been put in place to ensure the grower only shares data on the specific fields that they authorize. ” Mobile solutions for the iPhone or tablet, as well as GS2/GS3 integration, allow growers to input records while on the go and then have that data flow into Land.db.
