McCain Foods Canada relocates Marketing department from Florenceville to Toronto

On Thursday morning, officials at McCain Foods Ltd., announced it would move its marketing department  to Toronto, Ont..

The move will impact more than 20 jobs at the Florenceville plant, which employs 1,000 people in the region.

A marketing department employee, who requested not to be identified, said the department has begun the transition for marketing operations to Toronto, which is expected to be complete by June 27.

"The Marketing Department employees in Florenceville were informed on Wednesday that the department was being moved from Florenceville to Toronto,"said the worker.

McCain Foods recently invested 6.5 million in renovation of office facilities in Florenceville
