RD Offutt Company and United II Potato Growers of Idaho, Inc. announce the formation of North American Foods, LLC. The new company, resulting from the contribution of certain assets of the companies unites the industry’s top talent from field to shelf. Utilizing these collective resources, North American Foods will continue to provide superior quality and value to both customers and consumers. Idahoan® and related trademarks, as well as Paradise Valley® and All Natural Creamy Mash® are among the recognized and distributed brands of retail, food service, and warehouse club potato products from North American Foods. The J.R. Simplot Company, partner for national sales and distribution of Idahoan branded food service products, will continue to be the national food service sales arm for the new venture.
“With the formation of North American Foods, we are able to provide a consistent supply of quality raw material with leading manufacturers of premium potato products,” said Gordon Lewis, President and Chief Executive Officer of North American Foods as of its formation. “The combining of resources creates a larger company that will operate more efficiently in today’s market place.”
North American Foods owns and operates plants in Lewisville, Dubois, and Idaho Falls, Idaho, as well as Grand Forks, North Dakota and Winnemucca, Nevada. The company will also operate plants in Glenns Ferry and Rupert, Idaho, and has entered into a processing agreement with Idaho Supreme Potatoes, Inc. of Firth, Idaho.
