The Great PEI Food Escape!
The Great PEI Food Escape!
The PEI Potato Board has joined forces with several key players in the food and tourism sectors of Prince Edward Island, launching a fun winter promotion, offering an opportunity to win an unforgettable "foodie" journey to PEI.
The strategic collaboration involves Tourism PEI, Canada’s Food Island, Lobster PEI, The Social Shell representing mussels and oysters, and Island Beef. Together, they have come up with a campaign aimed at celebrating the culinary delights of Prince Edward Island, perfectly timed with the Island’s Fall Flavours Festival, the autumn harvest and Farm Day in the City.
John Visser, chair of the PEI Potato Board:
"It’s a great time to showcase all of the great food we farm and fish here on PEI and enhance our visibility to prospective visitors and buyers across our key markets."
Bryan Inglis, the CEO of the Food Island Partnership:
"This promotion is a fantastic showcase of our culinary excellence, featuring our world-class potatoes, mussels, oysters, lobster, and beef. It's a testament to our collaborative spirit on Canada's Food Island, where we celebrate our dedicated people, our premium products, and our unique locale."
The campaign is supported by a comprehensive media strategy, including digital advertising and a television campaign, all designed to amplify awareness and participation. The goal is clear: to solidify Prince Edward Island's reputation as Canada’s Food Island.
Charlie McGeoghegan, Board Chair of Lobster PEI:
"The fishers and farmers in PEI all work hard to promote our premium products and where they come from. We always welcome the opportunity to collaborate on initiatives that work toward common goals."
