High Production Capabilities

New French Fry Plant to Boost Capacity

Himalaya began French fry production in Vad Nagar, Gujarat, India, in 2011, operating a 5 MT/hour French fry line and a 2 MT/hour formed product line. Unfortunately, a significant fire in May 2022 led to the loss of its processing facilities.

The company is now setting up a new and advanced 10 MT/hour French fry line, sourced from a reputed European machinery manufacturer. The construction and machinery installation are underway, and the new plant is expected to be operational by March 2025. In addition, the facility will include a formed product line with a capacity of 4 MT/hour. Himalaya is also open to contract packaging opportunities for the 2024-25 processing year. +

The company uses high-quality spawn sourced from Penn State University, Pennsylvania, and its mushrooms are grown without insecticides, pesticides, or chemicals, ensuring an all-natural product.

  • Fresh, canned, pickled, and frozen mushrooms
  • Button mushrooms, sliced varieties, battered mushrooms, Portobello caps, and fries

Himalaya remains committed to delivering quality, all-natural products while expanding its capabilities and market reach. Stay tuned for more updates as the new French fry plant gears up for production!
