RMA Techniek - Optical Size sorter

The square size sorter is designed to determine the square size of a potato and sort out a particular size. The square measure is used to assess the size and shape of a potato.

The dimensions of the potato are collected as it passes under a 3D camera. With this information, top or bottom sizes of potatoes can be separated from the main stream. The grader is equipped with 2 conveyors, 1 for the main stream and 1 for the size to be sorted out. A food-safe plastic “finger” is used to force the size to be sorted out to the correct belt.
