The province of Drenthe, together with the chain partners, is starting a pilot for arable farmers on rewarding for sustainability. In the pilot, the Critical Performance Indicators (KPIs) from the Arable Farming Biodiversity Monitor are tested in practice.

50 Drenthe arable farmers can participate. For their participation, they receive a reward from the province of Drenthe and from the chain partners: Royal Avebe, Cosun, Agrifirm and members of VAVI (Association for the Potato Processing Industry). In addition, Rabobank and ABN AMRO have joined.

Unique collaboration

Peter-Erik Ywema, Director of Sustainability at Avebe:

"Last year we jointly launched the Arable Farming Biodiversity Monitor as an instrument and we are now going to put it into practice for the first time. The public-private Collaboration in this practical pilot is an important step in this, we can really get started with broad support for further development."

Participate

Arable farmers from Drenthe who are interested can register until February 13 via the digital registration form. The condition is that the company uses a digital business management system, provides correct and complete data and actively participates and contributes ideas in a study group context.
