Average to good potato harvest in North-western Europe, but increased production costs

The NEPG has ended the 2021 campaign with a production of 22.7 million tons, which represents a decrease of 3.4% in relation to the previous one, although it remains 2.7% above the average of the last five years.

Aardappeloogst 2021 in Noordwest Europa hangt meer af van opbrengst per hectare dan van areaal

Het totale aardappelareaal in de NEPG-zone (EU-4) is met 4,7% gedaald 522.300 ha tot 497.700 ha (-24.600 ha). In België en Nederland, waar de areaaltoename de laatste jaren het hoogste was, ligt het areaal dit seizoen lager dan het 5-jaarsgemiddelde.
