Veg of Lund continued its international expansion plans and launched the DUG brand plant-based milk in Germany, Poland, Japan, and Italy. In September, Germany's largest vegan online shop, Velivery, will start selling all three variants of DUG's plant-based potato drinks.

Veg of Lund has a contract manufacturer in Northern Germany that caters to markets in Northern Europe. With Velivery, the company is following its strategy of launching with leading quality players who position its products as part of next-generation plant-based foods.

Fredrick Carling, CEO of Veg of Lund:

"The demand from German consumers has been made clear to us via various channels and contacts and it is great to finally be able to meet this demand via Velivery. Velivery is Germany's largest online shopping destination for vegan food serving both consumers and professional kitchens."

"Entering the market with an online partner will both create visibility and association that enables us to continue building a business in the German market over Times."
Stephan Scherer, Product Manager at Velivery:

"Milk substitutes are extremely popular with us at Velivery and we already offer a broad range of alternative products in that field. With the DUG products we are going to launch a potato-based novelty which surely will interest our customers a lot."

"Beginning in September, all three variants of DUG plant-based milk will be available in Poland through a major chain of health stores. DUG drinks in Poland will be supplied by its contract manufacturer in Northern Germany."
Fredrik Carling:

"This chain has a strong market position in Poland and the fact that our drink will be sold in 60 of their stores means that we have a great opportunity to reach many new consumers."

"Following other leading retailers in Europe such as Migros in Switzerland and Salling in Denmark it is great to see yet another chain include DUG in their assortment."
Veg of Lund has struck a distribution agreement with Synergy Trading Corporation to start selling its DUG brand plant-based potato milk in Japan. The formal on shelves sales will commence by the end of the third quarter. The first trial order has been shipped from Europe.

Fredrik Carling:

"Japan is not only a sizeable market but also a market to which other Asian countries look for direction from. Look forward to working with Synergy Trading on making DUG Potato drink a commercial success and continue other Asian discussions with a stamp of approval from the Japanese market."
Representative of Synergy Trading:

"We are pleased to be the first to introduce DUG Potato drink in the Japanese market. We look forward to launching this year and build a long-term relationship with Veg of Lund."
Veg of Lund has signed a Letter of Intent with Romagnoli F.lli S.p.A for selling, marketing, and distributing Veg of Lund's DUG brand products in Italy. Romagnoli F.lli S.p.A. was established in Bologna in 1928, and it is involved in the distribution of seed, ware, and processed potatoes.

Fredrik Carling:

"The letter of intent is a continuation of implementing the strategy of partly distribution-based business model to complement license and direct sales. Romagnoli F.lli S.p.A is one of the leading Italian companies active in the processing and marketing of fruit and vegetables, especially potatoes."

"Romagnoli F.lli S.p.A is an excellent partner for our potato-based products on the Italian market. We aim on concluding the partnership agreement."
Giulio Romagnoli, CEO of Romagnoli F.lli S.p.A.:

"We are very enthusiastic and proud to collaborate with this innovative company, and we expect huge interest in DUG potato-based drink from Italian consumers. It's an entirely new and unique product."

The partnership allows Haofood Shanghai Food Technology to sell, market, and distribute DUG brand products in China and select other regional markets, beginning the first quarter of 2024.

Fredrik Carling:

"The letter of intent is a continuation of implementing the strategy of partly distribution based business model to complement license and direct sales."

"Haofood is established in sales and marketing of plant-based products in the region and an excellent partner in bringing our propriety portfolio of products to market. We aim on concluding the partnership agreement and launch product to market early 2024."
Astrid Prajogo, Founder and CEO of Haofood:

"We are very excited to collaborate with this innovative potato-based drink for consumers in China and see opportunities for an entirely new and unique product."
