J.R. Simplot Company recently announced that CravOn™, its "never fried"french fry, is now available to consumers throughout Albertsons Southern California Division grocery stores.
The division's 192 stores push the total number of retailers carrying the four varieties of fries to more than 400 stores. CravOn meets the cravings of a healthier lifestyle and great potato taste.
CravOn's revolutionary process eliminates the industry standard of flash-frying prior to freezing and packaging. Partially-cooked in a blanching process, the CravOn fries are tossed with olive oil and sea salt before being frozen. The five total natural ingredients, 50 percent less fat than regular fries, and delicious, crispy texture combine to provide the real, authentic potato taste consumers crave. CravOn is available in two familiar varieties: Ripple Cut Fries and Steak Cut Fries;and two unique varieties: Diamond Cut and Anytime Diced Fries.
"We are excited to add Albertsons Southern California Division to our list of growing retail partners,"said Gary Laney, director of sales and marketing for CravOn.
Albertson's adoption of CravOn builds upon the momentum that the CravOn product has witnessed in the past several months. Introduced in March, CravOn continues to gain customer support through its growing retail outlets, aggressive use of social media, as well as its use of the CravOn Food Truck. Designed and outfitted to bake the fries as a customer would do at home, the CravOn Food Truck is continuing its market tour by participating in a number of landmark Southern California events and conducting a variety of stops at retailer locations market wide.
"Simplot was founded on innovation and the understanding that customers demand more,"said Laney. "CravOn's unique offering stands apart in the industry and meets the ever changing needs of consumers."
Consumers can find CravOn at more than 400 locations throughout Southern California by visiting CravOn's online store locator.
