SALINERO

Salinero is a deep yellow colour and rich flavour variety, has a slightly mealy texture perfect for boiling, baking, roasting and for stews. Salinero is a mid- late season variety with consistent high yields. Attractive yellow skin and dark yellow flesh. Round-oval, rather large tubers. Uniform tuber size and a high percentage marketable.

Salinero also maintains the shape rather well when cooked. Good resistance to second growth and good storage quality. Resistant to Potato Cyst Nematodes and rather good resistance to common scab. Salinero is a strong variety with a medium-high specific gravity. Attractable to consumer due to the distinct yellow appearance and tasty, slightly starchy flavour.
