Austin is an early variety with excellent, off-field processing characteristics, round-oval tubers with shallow eyes ideally suited for crisping. The low reducing sugar content also makes the variety suitable for longer-term storage.

Austin produces high yields and rapid early growth. Austin has similar maturity to Lady Rosetta and superior off-field processing characteristics. Austin has good tolerance of heat and periods of drought. Excellent resistance to Blackleg and Tuber blight.
