On 6, 7 and 8 November 2024, the annual variety shows were organised by various potato trading houses from Emmeloord and the surrounding area. The team of The Potato Company B.V. (TPC) looks back on very successful days. As always, the Potato Show was held in the own premises, with the entire team involved. An international party, with guests from home and abroad. 

The Potato Show was concluded on Friday afternoon with the presentation of the TPC Awards. This time to the growers Sjouk Brunia and Frits Werkman. They receive this award to celebrate the registration of their varieties Monza and Boston on the variety list. Because TPC has existed for 20 years, new Awards have been designed and made from the potato plants of Monza and Boston.

TPC works together with independent growers who strive to develop new and better potato varieties. Not only the taste and yield are important, but varieties that are resistant to certain diseases, such as potato fatigue, are also sought.

TPC now has 11 very beautiful and resistant varieties in its range such as Montreal, Barcelona, ​​Bergerac, Paris and now also Monza and Boston. The varieties are tested on trial fields in the Netherlands and abroad and are sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.
