Grimme Unveils The 16.1M Long Store Loader

Julio 11, 2019

Grimme has introduced the new SL 716 store loader, which is top of the range in its class. The machinery is 16.1m long and has a belt width of 65cm. So far, the company offered store loaders starting at 12m to 22m in length with electro-hydraulic drive.

The equipment comes equipped with the GBX 820 box which allows an exact and simple operation of all loader functions. A radio remote control is available as an option. Additionally, there’s Flow Control which enables the operator to start and stop the whole line.

For higher output, it is possible to increase the belt speed for 85m/min to a maximum 120m/min. Both sides are chain driven to ensure an event extension (9.8 to 16.1m) and avoid tilting. The belt always runs straight which prevents any unnecessary wearing.

Additionally, both side wheels are driven to ensure a constant swiveling and therefore an even store filling. The new larger wheels drive over small bumps without any problems. As standard, the swiveling control is fitted at the head end and can also be fitted to the chassis as an option.

The Store loader comes with automatic swiveling as standard. The SL Control is available as an option, next to the swiveling control an additional automatic retracting and extension of the Store loader, depending on the loading height.

To easily change from drive into swiveling operation a hydraulic steering option is available. The drawbar can easily be swung out of the way, so you don’t need to remove it. The counterweights are fitted at the sides to avoid soil bridging under the conveyor. Additional rubber strips are fitted to stop the crop rolling back.

Grimme also offers two powerful LED lights as an option. A certified food-safe hydraulic oil is also available if desired.
