Agrico will be exhibiting at Fruit Logistica in Berlin from Wednesday 8 to Friday 10 February 2017. Agrico, together with its subsidiaries, will be demonstrating its strength in varieties at this leading, international trade fair.
At Fruit Logistica, Agrico will be using the theme ‘Growth’ to show its strength in creating added value for its growers, customers, packers, retailers and consumers through aspects such as good, reliable harvests and guaranteed results. Continual investment in variety development at its own Research Centre has enabled Agrico to develop a diverse, mature range of varieties over the years. Agrico offers varieties suitable for every type of customer and climate zone. These varieties have proven their worth following multi-year trials and broad introduction and sales in various countries. This stable and versatile range of varieties means that Agrico can provide each customer with the right potato.
Arizona and Ranomi are just two examples of powerful varieties with an excellent performance record. The spotlights will also be on these varieties this year at the trade fair in Berlin. Arizona is a strong, extremely high yielding table potato suitable for various markets thanks to its good growth in all types of climate zone.
Ranomi performs best closer to home in countries such as Germany and eastern European destinations. This yellow-skinned table potato is a firm favourite in these countries because of its outstanding eating qualities and versatility for processing, for example, to make salads.
Agrico's potato variety Ranomi is a high yielding early table variety producing oval long, relatively large and uniformly sized tubers, with shallow eyes and a bright yellow skin and flesh colour. The cooking texture is rather firm with good consumption characteristics.
This is Agrico's contribution to the natural growth of its customers and its growers.
