TOMRA Sorting Food will demonstrate two of its market-leading sensor-based systems for the fresh produce industry at Fruit Logistica 2016 in Berlin, Germany, on 3-5 February.

Sentinel II Sorter

Designed specifically for the potato, tomato and peach processing industry, the state-of-the-art Sentinel II sorter is a highly efficient and cost-effective sorting solution – an alternative to the company’s existing high end sorters. It can be configured to meet different specific requirements along the production line, offering processors a high degree of flexibility.

The sorter has a capacity range of 20-400 tons/hour making it the ideal solution for packers and processors seeking color, defect and foreign material control. It is able to generate statistic screens with product counts, defect data and size statistics.

Users can be certain about a prime sorting result, while using the health check option in the machine, that assures technology is checked and set optimally.

The Genius optical belt sorting machine can sort a multitude of foods including fruits, potato products, vegetables and nuts. It separates good and bad produce and can be tailored to individual customer requirements, taking into consideration their unique needs.

For operators, the sorting machine brings multiple benefits. Its graphical user interface enhances ease of use and its high volume abilities means processing is faster, more effective and efficient without compromising on food safety and quality.

Steve Raskin, TOMRA Sorting Food’s sales director for Europe, Middle East & Africa:

“Fruit Logistica is a great opportunity for us to meet processors and packers from across the fresh produce supply chain to discover more about their ongoing needs. It enables us to demonstrate two of our TOMRA Sorting Food machines to customers so that they can see at first-hand how their business would benefit from working with us."

"We look forward to discussing any specific sorting or peeling challenges with them.”
