Jon Rennie joins Herbert Engineering as Operations Manager

Herbert Engineering, the leader in agricultural handling systems, has appointed Jon Rennie as operations manager.

Jon is a manufacturing systems engineering graduate from Nottingham Trent University with ample experience of working in a global, world class, lean manufacturing environment.

He joins Herbert from Cooper Roller Bearings where he spent 18 years in various roles, most recently operations manager.

Jon’s expertise lies predominantly in the implementation of lean manufacturing systems and modern manufacturing techniques. A black belt in Six Sigma techniques and tools for process improvement, he also has a strong back ground in precision manufacturing, enterprise resource planning development, operational health and safety and HR management.

In his new role as operations manager at Herbert, Jon’s responsibility is for the engineering business, which includes manufacturing, quality, purchasing and inventory management. His goals for the coming year are to drive lean principles though the manufacturing facility including increasing factory efficiency and eliminating waste through the implementation of quality best practice.

Jon Rennie said: “I am delighted to have joined Herbert and look forward to building on the company’s long tradition of world class manufacturing. In the short time I have been here, it has been great to see Herbert’s huge potential and I am excited at the prospect of helping the business continue to grow and develop at a fast pace.”
