Irish potatoes leading a revolution in Malawi

In the blazing African heat, enterprising Malawian women are helping to spearhead a 'potato revolution' which aims to beat the scourge of hunger and poverty.
Irish Aid, the government's overseas development agency, is helping small farmers to grow varieties of Irish potatoes to feed their families and supply to local markets and factories.
A local group of farmers who have fully embraced the ambitious Irish Aid scheme live in the Dedza region 100km south of the capital Lilongwe.
