Tong Peal strengthens its sales team
Tong Peal, a leading designer and manufacturer of handling and sorting equipment in the United Kingdom, has strengthened its sales division with the appointment of Charlie Rich and Carole Metcalfe and with the promotion of Simon Lee.

Charlie Rich (32) being recruited as export sales manager for worldwide sales replacing Barry Ledger who is retiring after 30 years at the company and Carole Metcalfe joins Tong Peal as sales and marketing co-ordinator.
Tong Peal, which employs 143 at its Spilsby headquarters and has a turnover over £10 million, created the new positions and promotions in response to continued growth and increasing worldwide sales.
The sales team will be responsible for Tong Engineering sales – incorporating UK farm and pack house and Tong Peal Recycling.
“Tong Peal has an excellent reputation in the UK farming and pack house industry. The vision is to become the world’s best potato and vegetable handling machinery provider, in terms of product quality and overall service. The chance to play a part in developing such a business was simply too good to turn down,” says Charlie Rich .
