Who Grows More Potatoes: Washington or Idaho?

Farmers from all over Washington State are in the Tri-Cities for the potato conference at the Three Rivers Convention Center. The potato conference was held for almost 50 years in Moses Lake and this is it's first time in the Tri-Cities.

Some people believe Washington grows more potatoes than the state that's famous for potatoes, Idaho. So who grows more? The answer is Idaho.

There is much more land than our state, but we still have not lost the potato competition. Washington yields more potatoes per acre than Idaho and any other place in the world.
