"We take our responsibility to our associates, customers, shareholders and the communities where we do business very seriously,"said David C. Novak, Chairman and CEO, Yum! Brands, Inc. "Yum! Brands is uniquely positioned and well prepared to take on the responsibility that comes with that leadership. This Report reinforces our commitment to corporate responsibility, details our performance to date and identifies our future CR direction."
"Our view is that the dynamic nature of societal and environmental changes - some predictable, some not - requires us to anticipate, understand and respond meaningfully. That makes us stronger and better as a company, and as a responsible citizen of the world community,"said Novak.
The company plans to provide on-going updates on progress and milestones through its web site and social media tools and to issue its next CR report in 2010.
