After nearly a month of closure, food and beverages maker Pepsico on Thursday announced resumption of operations at its Punjab plant as management and workers have reached a settlement.
"We are glad to announce that we have reached an amicable solution with the workers which benefits all. The plant will resume its operations from today,"said a company spokesman.
After shutting the plant in Punjab, Pepsico had shifted production of its brand Kurkure and other products to Pune and Kolkata. The company makes Frito-Lay brand of products which includes Lay's potato chips, Lehar Kurkure and Lehar Namkeen.
