Will Chase, the Herefordshire farmer behind the hugely successful Tyrell’s Crisps brand, has been awarded £5m in interest-free funding by the Bank of Scotland to develop his business further.
Mr Chase, who won the Midlands category in the Banks of Scotland’s £25m Entrepreneur Challenge competition, made headlines two years ago as the farmer who successfully fought Tesco for the right to independently market his crisps.
Tyrells now goes forward to battle it out with four other regional winners for the chance of four days mentoring from Arcadia boss Sir Philip Green.
