Laheotsa OU, a family-owned firm founded in 1992, is entirely funded by Estonian private capital and specializes in vegetable production and processing. The enterprise is based in Padise municipality, near the Padise monastery, and cultivates about 1,000 hectares of land, primarily for potatoes, carrots, beets, and onions.
Its produce is farmed, washed, peeled, boiled, chopped, and packaged on-site. The majority of products are distributed through large retail stores in Estonia, with a small amount shipped abroad. Laheotsa OU sells its products under the brands Laheotsa and Villeri, and proudly displays the "Grown in Estonia" logo.
The company is a member of both the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Horticultural Association.
