The ADAPT project, funded by the EU Horizon 2020 program, has concluded with significant advancements in developing climate-resilient potatoes, bringing together a multidisciplinary team to enhance stress resilience and breeding strategies for future potato crops.

The Horizon 2020 EU project Accelerated Development of multiple-stress tolerAnt PoTato (ADAPT), in which Europatat is participating, aims at developing new strategies to make potatoes fit for the challenging growth conditions of the future.

The ADAPT project aims at developing new strategies to make potatoes fit for the challenging growth conditions of the future. Within this project, potato varieties trials are conducted in Austria.

Together with around 300 active growers, Niederösterreichische Saatbaugenossenschaft, the only potato breeder in Austria, has been breeding high-quality potato varieties for international and domestic cultivation for 95 years now.
