Potato Chips manufacturer BEPPCO opens state-of-the-art storage facilities in Iraq

B.E.P.P CO is a successful potato chip manufacturer operating in Iraq that offers natural potato chip products under the following brands: Mr.Krisper and Mito. To optimize potato quality, B.E.P.P CO opened this season a new state-of-the-art potato storage facility that can provide optimal conditions for potatoes for processing at all times.

In this article we explore the conditions in which B.E.P.P CO stores its potatoes and the technologies and systems that are responsible for making it all work.
 

The cold stores were built on an area of ​​5332 square meters divided into 10 storage rooms, and it is one of the largest cold stores in Iraq, with a storage capacity about 10,000 tons.

The capacity of each room reaches more than 1000 tons.

The temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide concentration are controlled by a control system, that can be accessed in three different ways:

1. Control panel on the door of each room
2. The central control in the administration room
3. A mobile application on smart phone

 All these devices operate with a fully automatic system and an environmentally friendly refrigerant.

Emphasis was placed on a very important thing, which is the carbon dioxide ventilation and control system, all of this works with an automatic system and according to international standards.
 A vertical lift system is used to double the storage capacity with a height of up to 8 meters.

A special wood imported from the best global origins and heat treated was used to withstand the storage conditions.
 A special system for arranging the boxes was used to ensure that ventilation, temperature and humidity reached all the potatoes in the refrigerated store.
 A Grimme automatic box filler is used for filling the boxes.
