Nora Snacks, a US subsidiary of the Thai seaweed manufacturer Taokaenoi brings its popular seaweed chips to American palates
Asia's leading seaweed snack brand is coming to the United States
New Southern California-based snack food company Nora Snacks, a US subsidiary of the Thai seaweed manufacturer Taokaenoi, is excited to introduce Asia’s favorite seaweed chip to America at the recent Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore, MD.
Debuting via Amazon and other online retailers (and launching in grocery aisles later this fall), the Nora lineup offers a range of disruptive formats, including new-to-market, flavored seaweed tempura chips.
The brand is the brainchild of industry veterans Itthipat “Tob” Peeradechapan (the Thai wunderkind who founded Taokaenoi Food and Marketing PCL, Asia’s largest seaweed snack company known for its wildly popular seaweed chips), and Tim Minges, who was first introduced to seaweed chips (and by extension, Tob) during his tenure as President of PepsiCo Asia.
Pairing their extensive individual experiences with their mutual love of snackable seaweed, the two are reimagining the ancient Korean crop in irresistibly delicious new ways to satisfy American consumers’ craving for variety, discovery, and taste.
