Tong Peal appoints new after sales manager
六月 08, 2014
Tong Peal, the UK's leading designer and manufacturer of vegetable grading and handling equipment, has announced the creation of a new after sales position at its national headquarters, as part of its plans to further improve the company's excellent customer service record.

Ian Evison, who has been with the company since 1995, is taking on the role and will be on hand to discuss installation, service and maintenance with customers.

Ian's role will be to ensure customers are receiving the best service possible throughout the installation of their equipment, as well as making sure than customers' machines are kept in the best working order for optimum performance and minimal maintenance requirements. Ian will also be available to advise on proactive and planned maintenance and recommending the ideal service schedules.

Having started with the company as a Storeman, Ian has gained a reputation within the industry for his outstanding knowledge and ability to meet each customer's requirements for Tong Peal's extensive range of handling equipment.

Ian will be based at Tong Peal's office in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, but will also spend a significant amount of his time on the road, visiting customers when needed and offering his advice and expertise to ensure every customer experiences only the best in after sales service from the family-run firm.

Edward Tong, operations director for Tong Peal said: "Creating this new post will add further focus to our after sales customer care ethos. After 19 years with the company, Ian was the obvious choice for the role as he knows all there is to know about our machinery.

"With growers and packers needing to maintain continuous throughput in order to meet customer demands, our machines are built with reliability in mind – even in the most demanding situations. Our machines are quick and easy to maintain, however, it is important for Tong Peal to offer its customers world class support whenever they need it, months or even years after they have made a purchase."

Ian Evison said: "Taking on the role of after sales manager will allow me to offer our customers the very best service.

"Tong Peal is a great company that takes care of its staff seriously, which I know from first hand basis, and this is equally the case for its customers. Hopefully working in this new role will allow me to extend the care ethos even further, which will keep our customers coming back to Tong Peal again and again"
