Kiwa andean potato chips gets Ecuadorian company nominated for award

Ecuadorian chips company INALPROCES has been selected as one of the 10 finalists for the CHANGING MARKETS AWARD 2013.

This award is an initiative implemented on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), that seeks to reward business models that contributes to a greener, more inclusive world in a profitable way.

INIAP, CIP Ecuador and other organizations have worked closely with INALPROCES, in order to create participatory networks between producers of native potatoes, R&D organizations and companies interested in developing and promoting potato products.

An outstanding result of these joint efforts has been the KIWA chips, currently available in the Ecuadorian market and for export.
