Gourmandine Potato variety soon available in the United Kingdom

During the upcoming Fruit Logistica, Agrico will sign a contract with the UK firm Albert Bartlett, who will shortly introduce the Gourmandine potato variety in the United Kingdom.

As a leading co-operative involved in breeding, growing and marketing potatoes, Agrico will be represented again at this year's edition of Fruit Logistica, held in Berlin from Wednesday 6 to Friday 8 February.

During the trade event Agrico, together with its subsidiaries, will be demonstrating its diversity in table potatoes and seed potatoes, grown both conventionally and organically, using the slogan “Say Choice”.

On the second day of the fair, 7 February, Agrico will be organising a festive reception, starting at 11.30 a.m., to celebrate the success of its Gourmandine variety.

This culinary variety, ideal as a table potato and in salads, was chosen as the tastiest potato by French consumers during the French 'Taste of the Year 2013 ’awards for the third time.

Gourmandine is not only the potato of choice of many consumers, it is also the favourite of many suppliers. During the reception Agrico will sign a contract with the firm Albert Bartlett for the introduction of the variety in the UK.
