Potandon Produce is pleased to announce that the newest addition to its growing family of Klondike Brands, Klondike Goldust Express will be available early June 2012. Klondike Goldust Express will join Klondike Rose Express as part of Potandon’s shelf-stable line of microwavable fresh potatoes.
Klondike Express combines cutting edge package technology with two market-proven potato varieties, enabling convenience-driven consumers to prepare one pound of whole baby fresh Klondike potatoes from pantry to plate in just six minutes. “The versatility and convenience of this package is the key to its success,” says Potandon Sales Manager, Bernie Pavlock. The company has several 30-minute potato salad recipes on their consumer website, which are based on using Klondike Express as their main ingredient.
The Klondike Rose Express package is also being updated with an enhanced nutritional panel on the front of the package, highlighting the fact that fresh potatoes are fat free, sodium free, contain 18% of the recommended daily amount of Potassium per serving and 45% of Vitamin C.
Potandon Produce is positioning its Klondike Express products as high velocity impulse items at retail that will be frequently promoted and cross-merchandised as part of a meal solution display, or as a quick potato side-dish to compliment outdoor grilling in the summer months.
