Safeway recalls red potato salad

Safeway Inc. has been notified by Reser's Fine Foods that it has voluntarily recalled several products that may be contaminated with Salmonella. As a precautionary measure, Safeway is participating in the recall by voluntarily recalling the following products sourced from Reser's Fine Foods and sold at Safeway, Vons, Pavilions and Carrs stores in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington State.

Recalled products:
  • Red Potato Salad with Dill, also named Red Potato W/ Dill Salad Bulk
    • Sold by the pound in clear plastic containers at the full-service deli department 
    • Sold from 01/16/20 to 03/03/10 
  • The Deli Counter brand Red Potato Salad with Dill
    • 16 ounce containers sold at deli self-service refrigeration area.
    • UPC Code 2113006741
    • Use By Dates of 03/14/10 to 04/10/10
These products have been removed from sale. Customers who purchased these products are asked to discard then or return them for a refund.
