Greenvale's holding company to Stock Exchange to finance leading role in consolidation in UK potato sector
One of Britain’s biggest potato producers is planning to put down roots on the AIM Market (Alternative Investment Market at the London Stock Exchange).
Produce Investments hopes to raise £15million from the float next month, leaving it with a market value of between £30million and £40million.
Advised by Investec Investment Banking, the firm is the holding company for specialist potato supplier Greenvale.
Produce Investments hopes to play a leading role in the consolidation of the sector and will use the cash raised in the flotation to fund organic growth and acquisitions.
Although potatoes are Greenvale’s core business, Produce Investments could diversify by acquiring suppliers of other types of fresh produce.
