The wet weather seen during the late summer is making for challenging harvesting conditions for potato farmers across Yorkshire.
The heavy ground is taking its toll on farmers' pockets due to the added expense it has brought in terms of extra labour and wear and tear on machinery.
However, despite the downpours crops so far are looking plentiful and healthy in many parts of Yorkshire, with farmers expecting to enjoy better yields than seen last year's following dreadful conditions.
