Avebe Executive Gerben Meursing visits Taiwan

Gerben J. Meursing, Managing Director of Commerce of AVEBE UA, arrived in Taipei recently to host the 6th anniversary of opening ceremony AVEBE (Far East) Pte Ltd Representative Office, one of AVEBE's subsidiaries.

Meursing said, "We will strengthen AVEBE market position in Taiwan continuously and be the market leader as in the past 30 years as well."

AVEBE has shown great interest in Taiwan since the 1970's. It exports around 25,000 tons of products into Taiwan for food, textile, paper, adhesive, feeds industries of Taiwan. Well-known companies such as Dutch Unilever, Japanese Nissin, Korean Rong Sin, plus across straight companies such as Master Kang, Uni-president and Want Want are all long term business partners with AVEBE UA.

粮农组织食品价格指数*2024年6月平均为120.6点，与5月份修订后的指数持平，其中植物油、食糖与乳制品价格指数本月上行，抵消了谷物报价的跌幅，肉类价格指数则与上月基本持平。尽管食品价格指数在连续3个月上行后继续保持坚挺，但与上一年同期相比仍下跌了2.1%，较2022年3月160.3点的历史峰值则下跌了24.8 %。
