Martens Potatoes, founded in 1938 by Arsène Martens in Maldegem, is a third-generation family business, with Gino Martens in charge of day-to-day operations. The company specializes in purchasing potatoes through contracts and free-market trading, and it also provides seed potatoes to growers as a service.

Martens Potatoes serves the export market by packing potatoes in 25 kg, 50 kg, and bulk bags, and also offers washed and unwashed potatoes to the processing industry. A cutting-edge washing line, installed in 2008, assures quality processing through optical sorting and salting capabilities.
