The Optica Q is a compact optical quality sorter. Fifteen to eighteen tons of seed potatoes are checked for quality per hour. This allows the batch to be read with high capacity. Converted, the Optica Q reads as fast as three people in the inspection room.
This results in significant savings, but above all offers opportunities for further professionalization. With the Optica Q, each seed potato is measured at the correct value, so you get the most out of the harvest. The Optica Q can be combined in a processing line with shake sorters or with the optical size sorter Optica CS.
Advantages
- Sort by quality and clods in one pass
- Sorting capacity from 15 to 18 tons
- Own unique software platform
- Compact machine
- Can be integrated into existing sorting lines
Maximum efficiency
With the Optica Q, you can sort clods, foreign material, and quality all in one pass. The sorting results are collected in three separate outputs. Potatoes with issues like scab, rhizoctonia, wireworms, shape abnormalities, or damage are easily separated out
Continuous learning
The Optica Q recognizes a wide range of defects by default, driving the different sorting results. Do you have specific sorting requirements? We can teach the Optica Q to meet your needs.
Flexible deployment
Due to its compact size, the Optica Q can be easily integrated into an existing optical or traditional sorting line, even within a competitor’s sorting line.
Operation and Remote Support
- The machine is easy to operate through the touchscreen and comes with pre-programmed programs
- The user of the machine does not need to be technically skilled to operate the machine.
- Marge tolerances can be easily adjusted by the user
- The machine continuously improves through deep learning techniques
- Remote access interface via the internet for remote service, monitoring, and maintenance
- TCP/IP connection for data exchange
- Daily reports
Benefits
- Capacity of 15 to 18 tons per hour with an average tuber size of 45mm
- Speed and efficiency: the Optica Q’s capacity results in significant time savings and increased productivity compared to manual sorting. Furthermore, the machine works continuously without fatigue or breaks, maximizing overall efficiency
- Accuracy: The Optica Q utilizes advanced vision techniques and algorithms to analyse the product based on various parameters, resulting in highly accurate sorting that can even detect minor deviations and imperfections that might be overlooked by the human eye
- Consistency and uniformity: The Optica Q sorts based on objective criteria, guaranteeing consistent and uniform sorting
- Cost savings: The Optica Q inspects as fast as three people in the inspection room, reducing the need for labour. Moreover, the increased accuracy and product quality help improving the profitability of the business
