Fabula equals reliability. Fabula is gaining market acceptance in the North American round white market. Tubers tend to be large, plump oval shapes with a bright cream/light yellow skin and flesh color.
Few tubers per plant. Spacing should be close to avoid oversize tubers. Rapid and early tuber development requires careful monitoring of tuber sizes to optimize marketable yields.
Foliage
Rather a slow emergence but Fabula will develop a tall plant with a large strong spreading vine late in the season. Outstanding light green leaves. Low Nitrogen requirement.
Heavy Nitrogen fertilization will cause late maturity of plants and makes top kill difficult. Fabula sizes rapidly at the end of the season, start top killing in time to avoid oversized tubers.
Diseases
Resistant to Golden Nematodes and immune to Wart disease. Fabula has good resistance to viruses diseases, common and powdery scab. Fair resistance to blight diseases. Performs well in hot and dry climates.
