High yielding, medium late to late maturing with oblong tubers. Light russet skin and white flesh. Medium-high specific gravity and excellent processing qualities. Alverstone Russet is a robust variety with good scab resistance and excellent fry colour from storage.

Alverstone Russet is approved by McDonalds for its shoestring fries and is a strong and high yielding French fry variety.
