Variety Description

Medium to high yielding variety; early tuber set. Tubers have an attractive appearance and excellent washing quality. Short dormancy period; storage not recommended. Medium specific gravity.

Botanical Features
 
  • Plants: medium, spreading; stems not pigmented; wings not prominent; nodes not swollen.
  • Leaves: medium olive green, open; petioles and midribs not pigmented.
  • Terminal leaflets: ovate; tip acuminate; base obtuse.
  • Primary leaflets: three to five pairs; narrowly ovate.
  • Flowers: moderately numerous, white corolla with a greenish star; yellow anthers.
  • Tubers: round to oval; smooth white to very light buff skin; shallow to medium-deep eyes; white flesh.
  • Sprouts: conical; base medium red-violet; apex closed, moderately pubescent.

Reaction to Diseases

Highly resistant: Verticillium albo atrum.
 
  • Moderately resistant: leaf roll, PVY, fusarium storage rots, rhizoctonia.
  • Susceptible: late blight, phoma, early blight, Verticillium dahliae.
  • Highly susceptible: common scab.
