As, this event will also bring together the growers, wholesalers, retailers, super markets, corporate and exporters under one roof and will create greater understanding among them augmenting more business for them.

Our success owes a great deal to the continued support and cooperation of Ministry of Agriculture, as principal sponsor and its departments NHM, NHB, agricultural &Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), NFSM, ICAR, HMNEHS, AYUSH, Food Processing &Packaging Machinery Industry Association, All India Food Processors Association, Directorate of Extension, National Bee Board apart from the State Horticulture Mission and Departments etc.

The Royal Netherlands is the Partner Country of the show and they are making a big Dutch pavilion inviting Dutch companies of technology providers and input suppliers for the India Potato Expo 2012. They are also bringing a delegation during the show to meset Indian officials and horti entrepreneurs for long term sustainable joint venture opportunities in India. On the export front, APEDA is quite active. It is targeting agricultural and processed food exports in the range of 15-20 billion dollars in coming years. Indian Cold Chain infrastructure is facing problems like lack of an integrated approach and efforts for effective policy formulation and information dissemination.

Government investments worth Rs. 18,000 crore to Rs. 20,000 crore (42-46 Million $) are required over the next few years. This unique expo will be an eye opener to the growers and other stakeholders of potato and potato based product and services who want to expand and diversify their activities.
