Richard Newman has joined the team at R J Herbert Engineering Ltd in the role of sales manager for farm and recycling.

Richard, who lives in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, joins Herbert from crop ventilation and air conditioning company, Omnivent Techniek and brings with him huge experience of the farm market, having spent 24 years with grading equipment manufacturers, D W Downs.

Managing director, Nick Herbert, said: “We are very pleased indeed to welcome Richard to Herbert. He has a great breadth of knowledge of the market, of our customers and of the machines.”

“He is a great man to have on board and will strengthen the Herbert sales team throughout the UK and Ireland.”

Richard said: “Coming to Herbert is exactly right for me and I am enjoying it immensely. I know the market well and we have great customers. Joining a team of people who design, invent and manufacture products is my background. I love seeing a lorry laden with our products, where I got the order, I’ve seen it being made by our people in the factory and now it’s going to one of our customers. It gives me a real buzz.”
