PEI Potato Industry congratulates Jennifer Harris on winning Mary Fitzgerald Industry Award
The Canadian Marketing Produce Association (CPMA) recently recognized Jennifer Harris, Marketing Director of Mid-Isle Farms in Albany, PEI, with the prestigious Mary Fitzgerald Award at their 91st Annual Convention and Trade Show in Calgary, Alberta.
The award is presented to an individual with passion and dedication to the produce industry, and Harris was the first ever recipient from the Atlantic Provinces. Jennifer is responsible for Mid-Isle’s marketing programs, including package design, market information, and branding. Jennifer originally worked in the fashion industry, but joked during her acceptance speech that she has no regrets leaving her job in the women’s fashion industry to join a produce company.
Jennifer’s passion for the Island’s potato industry is felt throughout their company and to their customers. According to Rick Birt, General Manager of Mid-Isle Farms, “after 10 years with our operation, Jennifer is still one of the most caring and passionate people that I know in our industry.”
Harris lives in O’Leary, PEI with her husband Bobby Harris, a potato grower, and two sons. The PEI potato industry would like to congratulate Jennifer on receiving this deserved recognition.
